A few days ago I posted my solo backpacking trip to Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. The trip had become a magical and eye opener experience. With every trip comes every gastos (expenses). I track all my expenses as much as I can because people who know me would normally ask for tips and my expense for their future travel.
This trip covered a 15-day journey across these 3 countries. Transportation, accommodation and activities were either pre-booked, booked the same day, and then I spent a lot of time walking. I also researched those I can get for free.

I spent a total of Php 59,615.98 for the whole trip, that about 973 USD. Looking from my itinerary, if I want to save money I would probably cut on the souvenirs and be more critical about food (I sometimes just point at the food and forgot to ask for the price).
Have you done a similar trip? How much did you spend? What money saving tips can you give me?
