Laguna Eats: DOLOCAB

One can pretty much sum up this experience as “like going to Bacolod and tasting the original chicken inasal.”

Dolocab is a local restaurant in #3 10th St. Pacita 1, San Pedro, Laguna. We saw a posting on social media and wanted to try it. The first time we went there we were told that the waiting time was 30 minutes, but we got our food at about 40 minutes. We did not make an online booking – we weren’t super hungry and we were willing to wait.

The second time we went there, we ordered online and were told the waiting time is 1 hour. We were lucky that we were accommodated.

What food did we try?

Chicken Inasal

Liempo Inasal

Chorizo

Tinae (barbecued chicken intestine)

Chicken Liver

The chicken inasal is not dry and charred. The inasal liempo? CHEF’S KISS!  And everything else…delicious!

What I like about DOLOCAB?

  • THE TASTE OF THE FOOD! Of course! Even better when eating with your hands.
  • The price, compared to other restaurants offering inasal, is cheaper and there’s  free kansi soup (a beef soup that originated in Iloilo and taste like a fusion of Bulalo and Sinigang).
  • Staff are nice and attentive.
  • Have a good social media presence and regularly updates their customers.

Could be improved:

  • Be prepared to wait (I MEAN WAITTTT!) if you didn’t make a reservation or came in early before your specified time of arrival.
  • Perhaps, the rattan plate’s could be a little more cleaner.

Update as of 17 June 2026: They are temporarily close until further notice due to an ongoing kitchen maintenance. 😢 Don’t forget to check out their facebook page for updates.

We will surely be back once they’re up and running.

Update as of 25 June 2026: They are OPEN and the food taste as good as it was! Don’t forget to pre-order online thru their social media accounts if you want to dine in there.
